Visiting Angels is seeking a compassionate, dependable caregiver who can communicate in an Indian language and understands Indian cultural traditions, values, and customs to provide personalized in-home care for our clients.

The Caregiver provides physical assistance, emotional support, and companionship to individuals who need help with daily activities due to illness, injury, surgery, or disability.

The ideal candidate is patient, respectful, and culturally sensitive, with the ability to build trust with clients and their families. Understanding cultural preferences, family traditions, food preferences, and communication styles is important in providing comfortable, personalized care.

Job Requirements

• Ability to speak and understand the client's preferred Indian language

• Understanding of Indian cultural traditions, customs, and values

• At least one year of personal or professional caregiving experience, or an active CNA credential

• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and proof of auto insurance

• Ability to pass required background checks, driver's license review, and drug screening

• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, respectful approach to caregiving

• Dependable and able to work assigned shifts consistently

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Provide personalized physical care and emotional support

• Assist with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed

• Assist with mobility, ambulation, and transfers

• Provide medication reminders or permitted medication assistance according to the care plan

• Prepare meals while respecting the client's dietary preferences and cultural traditions

• Perform light housekeeping and laundry related to client care

• Offer companionship and encourage independence

• Respect the client's privacy, dignity, cultural preferences, and family traditions

• Communicate changes in the client's condition or care needs to the office

• Arrive on time and accurately clock in and out using the company mobile app
