Job Overview

Visiting Angels is looking for a compassionate, dependable Spanish-speaking female caregiver to join our team and provide one-on-one in-home care to a female client in the Rowlett area.

The Caregiver is responsible for providing physical care and emotional support to clients who may no longer be able to care for themselves due to illness, injury, surgery, or disability.

Our client has weakness on one side due to a stroke and needs assistance with personal care, transfers, medication reminders, meal preparation, and laundry. The ideal candidate will treat our client and her home with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect while encouraging independence and maintaining her comfort and safety.

Available Shifts:

• Saturday, Sunday, and Monday: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

• Saturday and Sunday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Applicants available for all shifts are encouraged to apply. Candidates who can consistently cover select shifts may also be considered.

Job Requirements

• Spanish-speaking proficiency required to communicate effectively with the client

• At least one year of personal or professional caregiving experience, or an active CNA credential

• Experience with personal care, mobility assistance, and transfers preferred

• Ability to assist a client with one-sided weakness following a stroke

• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and proof of auto insurance

• Ability to pass required background checks, driver's license review, and drug screening

• Dependable, patient, compassionate, and committed to client safety

• Ability to arrive on time and consistently work assigned shifts

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Provide essential physical and emotional support to the client at home

• Assist with personal care and hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, as needed

• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility

• Provide medication reminders or other permitted medication assistance in accordance with the care plan and applicable requirements

• Prepare meals and assist with meal-related needs

• Complete laundry and light housekeeping related to the client's care

• Encourage independence while maintaining the client's dignity and comfort

• Communicate changes in the client's condition or care needs to the office

• Arrive on time and dressed appropriately for each shift

• Accurately clock in and out using the company mobile app
